We have a fantastic opportunity for you to earn your PACE education consultant certification!
This October, we’re starting a cohort of learners through all of the courses needed for their PACE certification. If you commit to being a part of the cohort, you will be able to complete certification by the end of 2017.
Here are the details:
- You must have already completed the Introduction to Education Consulting in Cross-Cultural Settings course (all three sections if you’ve taken this via independent study).
- You commit to completing only two courses per year; one course between January and June and another between July and December (with the exception of Fall 2015, when you’ll have October through December to complete a course). Because you’ll be taking the same course at roughly the same time as everyone in the cohort, you’ll have all of the advantages of taking a synchronous online course (interaction with other TCK education consultants around common topics of concern) with all of the flexibility of an independent study (flexible deadlines and the ability to pause during periods of travel).
- As an extra incentive, we’ll offer a 20% discount on tuition for those who have committed to this cohort. As long as you’re keeping up with this commitment of completing one course every six months, you’ll remain eligible for the discount.
- If you’ve already taken the course being offered in a particular half of the year, you’ll take one of the PACE elective courses you need, or if you need no elective courses, you can join us when the next course that you haven’t taken is offered.
- PACE Certification requires completion of six courses after completion of the Introduction to Education Consulting course. Most of you who have completed this course have gone on to take at least one other course. If you have only completed the Introduction course and are unable to exempt any of the remaining courses needed for certification, we’ll work with you to take the additional course needed at a time convenient for you OR extend your cohort membership an additional six months, through June 2018.
- Here is the tentative schedule through 2017:
- October – December 2015: Special Educational Needs
- January – June 2016: Child Development and Early Learning
- July – December 2016: Educational Planning (exempted for consultants trained to take their families through PACE’s “Education Planning for Families in Transition” course)
- January – June 2017: Interpersonal Skills for Consulting and Teamwork
- July – December 2017: Any PACE elective course
