Testing and Assessment for TCKs (September 2 – 28, 2024)
*Prerequisite: Student must have completed or be simultaneously enrolled in Introduction to Education Consulting (Parts 1-3)
This four module course includes information and assignments related to the following topics:
- Types of testing and assessment
- How to interpret standardized test scores
- Appropriate use of standardized testing with TCKs
- Students will need online access for approximately two hours per module in order to download materials and interact with classmates
- Coursework will take approximately three to four hours per module to complete

Consulting Skills for Supporting TCK Parents (September 30 – October 26, 2024)
*Prerequisite: Student must have completed or be simultaneously enrolled in Introduction to Education Consulting (Parts 1-3)
This 4 module course includes information and assignments on these topics:
- Verbal and Non-verbal Communication
- Conversation and Listening Skills
- Questioning, Exploring and Referring Skills
- Working on a Team
- Students will need online access for approximately two hours per module in order to download materials and interact with classmates
- Coursework will take approximately three to four hours per module to complete

Early Learning & School Readiness for TCKs (October 28-December 7, 2024)

This six module course includes information and assignments related to the following topics:

- Optimal Learning Environments in Early Childhood
- Child Development Milestones
- Teaching Strategies
- Technology Pros and Cons
- Reading Development

Basics of Home Education (January 6-February 15, 2025)

- First Language Acquisition and Growth
- Second Language Acquisition
- A Bilingual Family Environment
- Levels of Language Acquisition & the Interface with Culture
- Language Impairments
- Supporting Families Using National Schools
- Students will need online access for approximately two hours per module in order to download materials and interact with classmates
- Coursework will take approximately three to four hours per module to complete
Special Educational Needs (March 31-April 26, 2025)
*Prerequisite: Student must have completed or be simultaneously enrolled in Introduction to Education Consulting (Parts 1-3)
